Our History

Stokesland Baptist Church was founded Oct.18, 1874 and was originally State Line Baptist Church. The church was located in Pelham, NC at that time - right on the VA/NC line. 

The church moved to its present location at 130 Taylor St. in 1924. The work has continued to evolve and grow for 145 years and has the same heart to continue under the Leadership of The Holy Spirit.

It is our fervent desire to see Stokesland Baptist Church reaching our community for Christ. We invite you to be part of that vision!
